DNALC Nigeria and IMT Enugu Partner to Build STEM Workforce

The DNA Learning Centre (DNALC) Nigeria, Godfrey Okoye University, has initiated discussions with the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu to foster collaboration aimed at developing a skilled STEM workforce. The partnership seeks to equip graduates with practical skills to address real-world challenges in agriculture, medicine, and environmental sciences using the scientific method.

During a recent meeting, DNALC Nigeria led by the Director, Prof. George Ude and Deuty Director, Michael Okoro engaged with IMT Enugu’s Rector, Professor Chidi Ogbodo, to explore strategies for enhancing the institution’s capacity to produce work-ready graduates. Both parties agreed that professional courses emphasizing intensive, hands-on laboratory experiences are critical to preparing students for industry demands.

The proposed collaboration will focus on designing tailored curricula that integrate practical training with scientific inquiry, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to tackle pressing issues in key sectors. This initiative aligns with DNALC Nigeria’s mission to advance STEM education and innovation across the region.

Further details on the partnership, including specific programs and timelines, are expected to be announced as discussions progress. This collaboration marks a significant step toward strengthening Nigeria’s STEM ecosystem and fostering sustainable solutions to national and global challenges.
