DNA Learning Center Nigeria, Godfrey Okoye University Inspires SUMAS Students with Molecular Biology Workshops and Mentorship

The DNA Learning Center Nigeria (DNALC Nigeria) team, led by our Director, Prof. George Ude on Tuesday 29th July visited the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS) in Igbo-Eno, Enugu State, to advance science education with a focus on molecular biology and STEM.

The visit provided an opportunity to engage with students, showcasing the transformative potential of DNALC Nigeria’s hands-on workshops and offering mentorship from world-class experts.

During the visit, the DNALC Nigeria team highlighted their diverse workshop offerings, which include training in DNA fingerprinting, genome sequencing, bioinformatics, and forensic science.

These programs are designed to equip students with practical skills in genomics and biotechnology, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.

The interactive sessions inspired students to explore career paths in the sciences and pursue their dreams in cutting-edge fields like medical research and agricultural innovation.

The visit also served as a platform for mentorship, connecting students with leading experts to provide guidance and foster confidence in pursuing STEM careers.

By offering access to state-of-the-art laboratory experiences, DNALC Nigeria aims to empower the next generation of scientists to address contemporary challenges in medicine, agriculture, and environmental conservation.
